[added: 109] Enqueue

Are there any plans to be able to right click files and select an option for "Enqueue in Xion", like WMP and Winamp? I find this one of the most useful features, would be sweet if Xion included it :)

Peace, Lance

You seem to be a tad blind there, Lance.

That feature is already implemented.

Nah, I'm not blind. No option there for me at all. Sure I can "Open with Xion", but that isn't queued.

Lance, you wouldn't happen to be using Xion with Vista would you? or 64 bit windows? 32bit XP and below you definitely get Enqueue available in explorer.

32bit Win XP Pro SP2. Absolutely no enqueue, never has been on any build for me :( I'm using 101 right now, but I've looked for it on ever build.

Peace, Lance

Enqueue appears when right-clicking a folder for me, but not for individual songs.

Aaah sweet, same here! Better than nothing, but not practical for my needs. Seems like there is still hope yet? :)

Peace, Lance

Seems I'll have to look into this. It works for me on both files and folders. Perhaps I missed out something for new installations.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll let you know how it goes.

As you said in the previous post your looking into this, i hope you manage to sort it as this is the only thing stopping me from switching over to Xion completely. at the moment i still use wmp/winamp as its so simple to right click and add individual songs to the playlist, and this is a feature i use alot, apart from that minor gripe i love this app just wish i could use it all the time. :D

right click menu entries optional instead of forced

Explorer folder right click menu entries from Xion ought to be optional instead of forced because many people like to keep their menus as fast and clutter free as possible. It's amazing that after removing the entries manually, they are automatically reinserted just by starting the Xion player. A bit secretive a behaviour for a software I think. But hey it's cool caUSE IT K I C K S A S S ! T H A n k y o u .

The ability to optionally add these is coming in the next version :) At the time I implemented these features I didn't add options, hence they add themselves back automatically.

Ok, I've looked into this again and still can't reproduce on a clean Windows XP system.

Build 100 added the Enqueue item for me, but it obviously only added it after I went into the Configure Xion, File Types Tab, selected .mp3 from the list and then clicked Associate (or double clicked .mp3)

Perhaps try Disassociating and then Reassociating? Does that fix it? Perhaps another application stole the mp3 extension?

For those that have the problem, and know how to use RegEdit:
Please use regedit to view the contents of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3 and let me know what the default value is.
Also check out HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Xion.AudioFile\Shell and see if the Enqueue Folder exists. Browse down to Command within that folder and check to make sure the Path to Xion is correct.

Thanks!

Cliff :)

I have the problem, too.
Vista Home Premium 32 bit

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3 (no value) or something similar, in german it´s no value assigned or so :)

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Xion.AudioFile\Shell enque folder exists.
command: path is correct
