I bought Game Maker 8 the other day - seems like a good transition for me to eventually begin coding more.

Like unrealEd, there are lots of game assets, and w the Pro upgrade, the program costs 25 USD.It has cool object and event buttons , stuff to cut down on coding for a newbie like me is good. :)

Right now I'm working on my first game, Fossil Olympics*, a set of 5 mini games like ammonite curling and trilobite racer.Should be fun...now if I could only think of a Xion Game...

*and I don't know whether to call it Fossil Olympics, Fossilympics, Fossilathalon, maybe, or somethin else, lol, so any ideas always welcome. :)

Hope the game will turn out good.

Hrmm... "tested" it at a "friend" hrrrmmm...

I gave it less then five minutes, It is as the name states, for games... Not my cup of tea...

Do you have a running demo of the game yet? for testing?

Ammonite Curling put a smile on my face for most of a day when I first read it =D>

So is this an evolutionary battle to avoid extinction? Be interesting to see Hallucigenia compete :D

reasons to have Millenium reinstalled on my PC:

1) Star Wars Pod Racer: Episode 1

2) Star Wars Pod Racer: Episode 1

3) Carmaggedon !!

5) Crimson Skies (thankfully works on xbox still)

6) Star Wars Pod Racer: Episode 1

7) Whiplash (might need 98 for that, but I think it ran on ME)

=D>

more useless trivia: windows 3.01 took 13 3.5 floppy discs to install on my 36 Mhz NEC PC, but my IBM PC 8088 was the coolest when i got it.It had a whopping 40 MB hard drive, and to boot it, you put in a 5 1/4 floppy disc, then after it booted you could take out the OS disc and put in a disc for a prog...

back then being a kid, they let me demonstrate the computers in the showroom, cause I was happy to mind numbingly play gorilla and artillery on the commodores and compucolors.
