Image Resizer for Email

Hi all,

So a while ago my mother-in-law to be was sending me massive 2mb+ photos via email. I asked her why she doesn't resize them and she said because she didn't know how.

In the end, my partner suggested a website for her to visit which resized the image for you and sent it back.

I guess that's ok if you don't know any better. I decided to code up a small app for her so that she doesn't have to upload then download the image.

So...here it is!

Download it and see what you think. If you know someone who could benefit from it, then send it to them!

Don't forget to post your thoughts here, I'd love to hear how now finally someone doesn't send you 2mb+ emails with just 1 photo!

Its very simple and yes you can easily do it yourself in photoshop, but there are people out there who can't!

NOTE: You'll need .Net 2.0 installed in order to use it, if you haven't already got it -> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Well, it is quite simple, but I'd love to see it as a batch converter.

Wow, this is perfect for my dad. He's a dumbass but thinks he's great. I shall send it imediately.

Aye I agree with the batch conversion.

Peace, Lance

I've updated the interface slightly and added 2 new options to help with sizing.

Even though this is really simple, I've had a friend's mum still unsure as to what size she should make the image, so I've provided 2 options which should help with that.

No Batch conversion, this was meant only for quick and simple resizing. I may add it in the future.

Does it upscale aswell?

I see some vague uses for it, but not too many. Nice though, i won't have to load up the bulky madness that is Photoshop just to resize stuff.

It's generally only meant for downscaling, however if you type in your own width and height it will scale up.

Its definitely not meant as a replacement for any photoshop or paintshop out there, its more for ease of use for those people that find using those tools difficult, but want to send photos to loved ones.
