Another Newbie here,
I have recently downloaded Xion after a recommendation in a magazine, Most of my music is in MP3 format which plays no problem in the player but any WMA files i have will not play ! I have gone into configuration & associated all file types but these files still will not play.
I suppose it is something simple I need to do to make them play !!
Any help please.

My guess is that the WMA files have DRM protection on them, and will only play in the software intended by the music store. For instance, I've noticed that all the songs I've downloaded with my Zune pass come as WMA files and won't play in Xion, but the songs I purchase are DRM-free mp3's that Xion will play.

Hi stroller,

I should probably place a link to this on the Download page as well, currently its just on the Home page. If you want to use WMA you'll have to install the WMA distribution files from Microsoft. I've got a local link here -> http://xion.r2.com.au/download/3rdparty/wmfdist.exe

After installing this, restart Xion and you should be able to play WMA.

Out of interest which version of Windows are you using? These days Windows usually comes with this installed?

Cliff :)
