Hello!

First of all,I must say on that you have an impressive player here.
I just discovered Xion and I really liked it:its interface is just amazing.

Ok,I also have to tell you that I was a Sonique Skinner. But this player is now dead for good and I was searching for a new player to skin(or more exactly to play with) as I love skinning. What I noticed after seeing a skin file of Xion is that the skinning way is very similar to Sonique's :D .This mean that I don't have to learn a lot to begin  .

Check this link and see some of my work:

my point here is not to make publicity but to show you what I am capable of.

If you want, you can delete this post.

Anyway,Hello again guys! I'll be around!

Please can you post any direct link on how to skin Xion. Thanks

Hi ForceField, welcome to the Xion Community!

Yes, I think Sonique used PSDs or something as well, but I believe it had a massive scripting language to learn?

Xion doesn't use any scripting, you just use the layer names to determine what function a layer should have. Check out the link that nicholass posted and it should set you on your way to making your first Xion skin!

You have some great looking skins there; I can't wait to see what you can do with Xion!

Good luck!

Cliff :)

Thanks nicholass for the link. The tutorials are very well explained.

@ Cliff Cawley:
Yes,Sonique was using the 'Mantis' markup Language (.mml).Mantis was very similar to XML and we used an XML Editor to 'Declare' the layers:if a layer drawn in the .PSD file wasn't mentionned in Mantis, then it wouldn't appear on the skin.
Mantis was very heavy and massive.

As for Xion it's just AMAZING:draw the layer and it's ready...
Wich mean that we can skin it faster! :D
