Hi!

I have been recently using Xion to play music down ventrillo, however i am trying to configure it to play radio streams like radio 1/planet rock/kerrang etc..

How do i go about doing this?

I have got the direct links to the streams and placed them in the url box, however Xion sits there on "Connecting"...

Thanks for you time , sorry about the "pointless" topic.

Brad

This is in a wrong section.

As for your problem, Xion seems to have a delay before it manages to buffer enough to start the stream. Keep trying with different streams if the ones you mentioned don't work.

Hmm could you provide some links and I'll check the stations out. Xion supports ICY streams such as shoutcast and icecast. With some links I can take a look at the format and see if I can't add support.

Cliff :)

I am telling a friend about Xion and she likes it and has said she wishes to listen to 106.5, Sydney.

This seems to be their URL for streaming and it works in WMP11.

http://208.96.14.149/mix1065

Their site url is:

http://www.mix1065.com.au/

"Listen Live" link is top right on their site.

Does this station work with Xion? I tried, unsuccessfully.

Thanks.

That one is a Windows media player station and currently Xion only supports Shoutcast and Icecast streams.

Thanks Cliff ... oh and, if I may, add this to the wishlist. My friend was really impressed and with the skin by Lance. I told her about the turning LPs and that the arms can be moved to change tracks (more a novelty but a great one) and she was impressed. Well you now have one more user.

As far as the layout goes and everything else, it is pretty much spot on. I guess some added functionality is now the way to go. Oh and I am unsure if this exists, but a Linux port at some stage as that is the way of the future. I am on XP for the games as I that is how I have built my rig.

You probably know the site, but I will mention it anyway just in case. Check out whirlpool sometime:

That is the hardware section. I have that linked and my ISP iiNet.

Something to consider perhaps?

Thanks for the replies and have a good Sunday!

Cheers,

Chris
