Is it nessasary to save PSDs with the Maximum compatability option selected for Xion skins or does it matter?
If it aint broke, fix it anyway. You may do it better.

Hi Nightbreed,

I am assuming you are using a version of Photoshop that is greater than 7? I.e. CS1 or CS2 ?

I don't have the file format specifications for PSD files later than about 6. I basically had to figure out the format myself.

The basic format should still be there within the PSD file, however it may include more layers than what Xion knows about (I believe you can now have layersets that can have many children).

Is there something specific that isn't working if you don't save it with compatability?

Cliff :)

I'm using CS2 and it recommends this feature to be enabled incase the file is being ported to older photoshop versions.

But the player seems to do ok with this option disabled. I actually just checked to be honest, so I guess I answered my own question :)

Actually, the buttons seem to have a better response when not using compatability modes..
