New Skin Management and Skin Uploading Process

Hi!,

So I've finally had a chance to finish off the first version of the Skin Management and Skin Upload scripts.

You will find them on the skins page at the bottom of the page.

The other thing is that you'll need a forum login in order to use this skins page. If you've previously submitted skins and you didn't have a forum login then try and create one using the name that its already under on the skins page.

If you registered with a different login, let me know and I'll move your skins across to your new forum account.

So for all those asking, how do I submit my skin?, well that's how from now!

I've removed the Skin Submission link from the Contact page as hopefully its all automated now.

Oh and there's no 'Delete Skin' button to stop people resetting download counts, ratings, etc. If you want a skin deleted, use the Contact page and let me know which skin and the reason why!

If you notice any bugs, please let me know!

Thanks!
Cliff :)

*cough* sorry, I think I messed up your skin site, Cliff!

At the position where TTEext was there is now a big white gap.

Instead at top of the site it is written:

Unable to load Tactual-Encapsulated extended82, couldn't find ./skins/alas/Tactual-Encapsulated extended82_full.jpg

8)

Heh its ok, looks like you found a bug.

I just fixed it, so please give it another try.

Most likely you used the wrong file in the wrong field.

This time if it errors out, it won't try and nuke the existing file when it wasn't updated ;)

I used the wrong file type (jpg) I´ll give it another try ( ... although you already updated it ;-) )
to change the thumb- just for testing it :-)

why gif and not jpg?

hmm, it worked without an error (your skin was updated successfully), but the changes don´t show up... at least no new thumb or preview !? The file might be renamed to the skin name, so I can´t check if it was updated...

but the skin moved to the beginning, so this is a way to push your skins to the first position

its not about moving them to first position lol, but to give people an indication that an updated version is available without having to peruse through 300 skins ;)

Be warned, any abuse will result in banning of your account and removal of all skins ;)

Just so you know... :P

Oh and if you're using Firefox, try Ctrl + Refreshing. (Shift + refresh for I.E, i think) to force an update. You'll see the thumbnail has been successfully updated, so it looks like your update went well :)
