Hello.
I miss the attitude "individual tracks" that's not the next track to start automatically.
Even if you change the title, he should not automatically be played.
Best regards

I'm sorry, but that's totally incomprehencible. Nobody can understand you.

If i skip one or more tracks, the new track should not play automatic.

I would say if a track is already playing and then u skip a few then it should still play
If its stopped and you click on a few forward then it shouldn't until you press play

Yeah SLoB, I agree. Isn't that the functionality already in use?

Actually now that i think about it, it's not.

When the player is stopped and you hit a next/previous button, it automatically starts to play.

But i really don't see where the problem is with that.

I didn't fire up Xion when I posted, I had wa open already and that's the behavior there.
From a usability pov I would say the track should play when you command it or if another track is already playing, you may want to skip x many tracks in a playlist but not actually want to play it at said time, ie. you need the loo or you want a cup of tea before you come back.
Either way consistency is key

perhaps we should get a list of the top 5 players and see what their behaviour is and go with the majority, esp if its how I listed it above, makes sense to follow suit, however, if the results are a mixed bag then it really is user preference, in which case it could be an option on the settings screen?

The players out there are a mixed bag. Some do it one way, others do it the other way. I really don't mind either way. Not sure it needs to have an option though. For good design, we should just decide one what's most logical. Let me know your thoughts.

Cliff :)

I agree with SLoB's thought process on how it should work.
