It would be an excellent idea that Xion Player has the ability to select multiple playlists without having to open dialogues to load these lists, or KMPlayer Aimp style, the day that happens will definitely Xion my only player.

(Google Translate)

Something like tabbed Playlist interface? I enjoyed this fature in foobar2000, but i think a proper MediaLibrary, like the winamp has, will serve this for good.

Does the Recent list in the File menu of the Playlist not help with this?

Cliff :)

I'm not sure if I'm totally understanding what you guys want, but I figured this topic is pretty close to what I wanted to suggest myself.

Could we have an option to "Insert Playlist" which would simply add the playlist files to whatever else is in there. Sometimes I can't decide whether I want to melt my face with some drum & bass or trance it out with some dance music. If I could open my d&b playlist and then insert the trance one, I can shuffle them all together and enjoy both! And to save more time, I can then go and save out a freshly combined single playlist of the new combination, if I so choose.

EDIT: For a better example, you have 2 playlist files, each of them is for an album you like. You want to shuffle both together. So open one playlist, then Insert the other.

Peace, Lance

Lance, you can do this already, just open the first playlist and Drag and Drop the second playlist into the playlist where you want to insert it

Yeah, I mean I knew this already. I just had to make sure that you were a decent, honest human being who would never forget an option he already included and calmly step up and let somebody know that they simply overlooked this possibilty because it already exists. And you passed the test, Cliff. Well done.

I'm now going to go and merge some playlist files. Like I have done for a very long time. Because I already knew how to.

Peace, Lance

Ah I see, you were just pointing out the feature to others out there so that they could enjoy it too, nice ;)

P.S. How's the skin going? :D

So the tabbed Playlist Interface looks like this

btw. on the left is a simple but awesome usable library - on top the music sorted by Artist/Year - Album/Track - Title and bottom the list of playlsits.

Tabbed playlists

Just like foobar playlists tabbed, sometimes it happens that I am in a Windows session and my wife wants her list, I would be good to mine and that access to these lists are more direct. So far we use Aimp, but fails a lot, but I like xion especially for its stability. Xion are the advantages, but it would be great having playlists tabbed. :)
(google Chrome)

Remember that it is a convenience for the user of Xion.
