Rotational layers

well i suppose if its not already on the next todo list ;)

idea
to have a Rotational layer keyword, perhaps with some parameters, this would then not need to have an animation loop however many frames long and that Xion would handle it in code faster than displaying many layers

ideas for parameters
degrees - ie 30 - to rotate from 0(0 being top middle/center) to x amount - 0 to 359 degrees
direction - ie 0,1 (or cw, acw) - to rotate either clockwise or anti-clockwise
delay - ie amount of time to rotate the layer over
repeat - ie repeat loop from 0 to xx
reverse - ie after going from 0 to xxx, the degrees are reversed going from xxx to 0

Volume/Gradient map
also i mentioned a while ago about a radial gradient map(invisible) for rotational layer that could be used as a volume control which could also be tied into the function(s) behind the rotational layer

so 2 bits of functionality both using the same underlying function(s)/code

edit:-
idea also to add in support for rotational layers to be affected by volume amount, vu levels, balance

Knew it was somewhere in the vault (blimey 5 years ago roflmao) ;) Friendly bump plz ;) heheh :)
Mainly for the rotational layer function :) (also possibly an offset anchor point, default being center, this would make for some cool creative uses)

I've requested this before somewhere....but to be able to pin the player to the desktop would be cool.....you know, click a button and make it unmove-able until the button is clicked again. Like the suggestions above also.

Construction is under way for a simple knob system.

No rotating layers, just a hit spot for syncing to an anim set.

Lance mumbled something about XDJ III having support...

I'd just like to say that 1) Cliff is deeply understating the aggressively passionate discussion we've had about these knobs and 2) I don't know, I just like to state things in numbered lists.

They're gonna be superb. Much easier to implement than you may think. And yes, they'll work via animation frames, so in preparation you may wish to check out and download KnobMan. It's the world's most popular app for creating and rendering knob animations. Seriously, it's a freakin god send. Get it. Been using it for years.
