Kev, this has already been asked 
in fact a few ideas have already been bounced in this very forum, I've always been a fan of them and raised this a long time ago
its great that they are finally going to be looked at tho as it should also mean that we dont have to put in workarounds ourselves
what I would be interested in though is trying to add in the ability to offset a colour value, say you have 3 layers (could be more) the 1st layer is chosen as red, the other 2 layers have an offset value of approx 120 degrees and 240 degrees (around a colour circle), this represents the triadic colour scheme, so in this instance it would be red, green, blue, this would allow the skinner to keep the colour relationship across grouped colours
