There is deffo some wierd stuff going on in win7 :o

Installed new sound card drivers Xonar D2X and now Xion doesn't want to play anything (even after double checking the output)
Animations that were working ok have now stopped.
Default Xion install.

Going to reinstall and see if it starts working again. Will report back

That is interesting. I plan to have a D2X one day aswell, so this could be an issue.

What does the Xion config say under Output?

Perhaps you have conflicts. Have you disabled the onboard audio?

Hmm, I assume you have the latest drivers?

It may have something to do with that I've never tested it on a 7.1 setup as the most I have is 5.1.

Have you tried altering the output options and tried Software mixing instead of hardware?

@logokas - no conflicts, onboard disabled, speakers (asus xonar d2x audio device)

@Cliff - just switched from 32bit to 16bit and it's playing, no software mixing needed.
Put in latest drivers the other day, which, is when it stopped working. Surely the drivers wouldn't restrict 32bit output rate?

7.1 setups make no difference.

However i should mention that Xion started having problems at 127 when changing channels from 7.1 to stereo. It would not correctly identify how many channels are used, thus when you switch back to 7.1 from stereo, it won't send audio to those channels.

Something has changed between 127 and the earlier betas, and has made it buggy.
