Hello there ^^.

Like almost every keyboard out there mine has those custom "play" "pause" "next" etc. buttons. And when I loaded up Xion I thought: “ohh crap - those buttons only work with WMP and Winamp” -.-

But hey! I was wrong! Your custom shortcuts can map those keys too - radical!

There's just one issue I have with them. There's just a "play" and a "pause" shortcut you can map. I've done a little research and all the keyboards I've found have just a "play/pause" button. So if you could add an optional "play/pause" shortcut also, it would be wicked :)

In the meantime, mapping the pause shortcut to the play button, with the option "Auto play on start" selected, would give you the "play button from WMP"-feel ;)

Oh yea compatibility with the G15 Media LCD display would be AWESOME – but let’s face it, too few people using it, so.

I just bought the "Internet Keyboard Elite" (micro innovations) (on Vista)
All the default settings just work fine for Xion, with one exception:
I can't get Xion to show up in the list, which Player to start (I suppose that Info is supposed to be in the registry somewhere)
I already switched from the USB-Version to the install version...but still it doesn't show up.

Does anyone know what reg-key to set to have Xion as default audio player?
In Vista's "Default Program" section I can only set associations to filetypes.

Hi NaR00W and welcome to the Xion community!

If you simply bind the play/pause button to the pause button in Xion it will work exactly as you intend. If a song is stopped, it will play the song. If a song is paused, it will play the song. If a song is playing, it will pause the song.

I've had a few requests for this, however I don't have one of these keyboards to test it out on and ensure its all working :(

Hehe ye I did figure that out, hence:

"In the meantime, mapping the pause shortcut to the play button, with the option "Auto play on start" selected, would give you the "play button from WMP"-feel ;)"

Just thought it would be more logical if you called that shortcut "play/pause" instead;).

If you do actually want to make a g15 media addon, please let me know if there's anything i can help you with, mainly providing the g15 keyboard to test it on ;)

Sure, I'd love to support the g15. The only thing is that it might be a problem of logistics depending on where on this planet you live :)

In case you weren't sure, I live in Brisabne, Australia :)
