Postby Cliff Cawley » January 7th, 2007, 12:24 pm

WARNING:
This is a Beta Build. That means it has fixes and features that are NEW. It is also possible it has bugs that are NEW! If you are looking for stability, please don't expect this build to be perfectly stable. It may have issues. If on the other hand you are happy to try this build out and post any bugs back in this thread, then please do!

Download:
r2 Studios Server -> http://www.r2.com.au/downloads/files/beta/qa-xion_v1.0b67.exe
OR
Xion Server -> http://xion.r2.com.au/download/beta/qa-xion_v1.0b67.exe

Changelist:
  • Ensure when saving a playlist that it confirms you want to overwrite it
  • Add ability for balance bar to snap to the middle for both the shimmer component and the configure window
  • Resize the default sizes for the playlist and library to be very similar and smaller
  • Fix crash when viewing song information and playlist is empty
  • Add support for Left and Right VU Meter slider controls

If you find bugs specifically related to this build, please post them here instead of the Bug reporting forum. Any feedback positive or negative should also go in here, no new threads. This way all feedback, etc related to this build will be in the one place.

Thanks to everyone who tested and provided feedback on the previous Beta Builds, looks like we are very close to another Public Release! Please test this build and let me know if you find any issues or not. If all the responses are positive the next build will be a Public Release!

Enjoy!

Cliff :)

does loadinterface button work with over/down states?
doesnt seem to atm, nor is dontreposition working either, been getting the odd crash here and there, seems to be hover states or hovering over songticker mainly i think?, from eventvwr

Faulting application xion.exe, version 1.0.0.67, faulting module shimmer.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000211ee.

fault would indicate songticker which in this particular skin is a single layer with Track fn(Arial) fs(9) fa(center)

Hmm can you link me to your skin (or email me on contact) and I'll attempt to reproduce it using your skin.

managed to replicate the above bug on different pc using anemovatis Ragnastar skin just by playing with it, altho the crash will happen with potentially any skin, i also used gbx i think (altho the final version) but its deffo reproducable on the first skin

seems to be crashing when hovering over objects particularly around songticker (may be something else but seems to be)

Cliff
here's one of the skins that im trying to finish off but there is also another small bug?, the picture shows it, its reproducable by hovering over the close button then moving and hovering over the mini button and then away from the skin, it doesnt do it all the time but is noticeable 2/3 times out of 5
there is no other box drawn there in the skin to cause that afaik

hopefully the points i raised with the over/down states on the loadinterface button can be fixed and the dontreposition, if ive got the dontreposition wrong then my bad

just using this skin within about 5 minutes and im sure it will crash on you if you hover over all of the areas, it crashes with the bug i mentioned above

add this same mp3 track url into the pl a few times

http://www.slob.org.uk/ideas/01-Inferno ... the%20Fire)1.mp3

link is borked due to space and brackets, copy whole line

this track doesnt play, yet does in other players, is this part of the ignoretags from the cpp/c differences for the netstream issue or just filename/urlpath Cliff?

Hi Cliff,

I just had Xion crash a few times due to, I imagine, a skin I'm working on. The first time it crashed, all my setting were wiped out. The equalizer, hot keys, skin, & which components were enabled were all reset.

I just had it crash a couple times again, and each time the equalizer was reset to all 0. Usually I have it on 'Bass Reducer'. Changing the preset to something else, then back fixes the problem.

its part of your os

Ok, I've managed to finally fix the redrawing issue. It was a pain in the butt to find, but the fix was simple.

I still havn't gotten Xion to crash with the debugger running, but I will keep trying. Hopefully I can get something soon.

Ok, got this fixed as well. It was an issue with FmodEx and the latest version fixes it. I've also fixed the Title and Artist tags which were in the new Id3 format so that they now get displayed.
