A new skin I'm building has some interesting problems. It's an intersection which obeys a traffic signal.
There were two ways to approach this, one, tie the cars to the traffic light anim, problem solved, very boring repetitive anim.
Or, two, give cars their own anims, thus enabling randomization factors which add dozens of variations to the ensuing animations. Including alot of animation passthroughs, which works very well with some delay of lights and cars.
The biggest problem is that the cars obey the traffic light in all four directions, they obey all too well. They stop regardless of position on the road. A car will stop dead center of the intersection.
Any ideas how to keep the cars from stopping in the intersection (w/o any sudden disappearing) would be great to hear.
