I see three possibilities here...

1. The functionality does exist to add 3d models and Cliff has neglected to tell us about it before now.

2. He is in fact committing a major leg pulling operation.

3. Cliff is under the mistaken impression that the beforementioned function exists due to a combined effect of too much coding and staring at visualizations for too long.

:?

Well it's stuck in my head now anyway, hehe. I'll pick out 5 or 6 nice car models and put together a skin where the cars all rotate and change colors, like NFS or Hotwheels...

I think I have 3d models for a Lamborghini, Prowler, Ferrari, Camaro, and I don't know what else. It's a good enough start... :)

Oh, and I'll try
Code: Select All Code

Now I'm going to present the cars the way db1011 skin rotates, using 3d car models, and all new better lightmaps.

Add a hidden button or two linked to slider animations w snap to frame, and that ought to be one good looking skin.

I'll add the Elise to it, since Cliff likened Xion to an Elise... :)

And even I know the cars rotating will be just plain awesome, it will be up to me to present nice buttons/interface, the cars sell themselves...

Aghhh!!! Needs smoothing turned on, it looks like a paper model.

Where'd you get that model? I now have the urge to do a papercraft Elise...

You know, it was a more frustrating search than usual, I don't usually go for the specific models...and it is pretty chunky, hehe, I haven't messed w/ it yet.

I will use a few more from that site too, it's a nice one. :)

paper models are pretty addicting, I used to run the print shops' printer for hours sometimes, gluing little macs and rockets at the light table. It was perfect w/ all the tools right there... :)
