If Hardware support goes to plan, you'll be able to specify a layer has the ability to 'change its colour'. This will mean that Xion will allow the user to simply pick a colour and the skin parts that are marked as being able to be changed, will automatically be recoloured.

When u say pick a colour, do u mean u just put, say, "blue" on to a layer, or a Hex code, or something like that?

Most likely hex code or something. By changing colours though, I meant that the user using your skin could simply bring up a colour dialog and change the colour like that.
Obviously you'd be able to choose to allow the user to do this or not and allow them to change only specific layers, etc.
