You can use the Add->URL menu in the Playlist to add various Radio Station URLs.

Is this what you were after?

If you know the URL: right click Xion, add/URL...

To find new stations, I am using shoutcast.com. You can easily find good stations there, search for music styles and so on..

Press tune in and choose Xion to open it with (it´s a simple .m3u playlist file). Then you can save the playlist (in Xion-delete all other entries before) to the Xion stations folder. The station appears then after next start of Xion in the library and you can access the station easily from there. For me that works fine...

P.S.: To all people here: some stations are not accessible after some time (changing their URL?). Does anybody have an idea how to re-search them with an easier procedure than the one I described above?

theres no way to save or make a play list. and you can't copy and past, even though i have plugins enabled.i went to shoutcast and click on tune in and open with xion. it was playing the station. but theres no way to save it. only if you download it to your cpu first. but i can't make a play list, it won't do it. i been fooling with this thing last night and today trying to make a play list. how can you save music to the simple library?...thanks

Are you talking about saving the radio songs as you play them?

If so, Xion is unable to do this currently, but I'll be looking at implementing in the future. For now you can only play the radio streams, you can't save the songs that are playing.

For some reason it is picking them up as CD Drives. Are they marked as CD drives by any chance?

Xion can play Audio CDs. If you insert an Audio CD into one of these and double click it in the Library, the tracks from the CD will be added to the playlist and you can then listen to them.

How do you mean save anything?

Are you talking about saving the playlist itself? If so you can go to the File Menu and click Save Playlist or Save Playlist as.

If you are talking about a radio station and saving the songs that you listen to, then no, not currently. You will be able to in a future version of Xion.

ok, when i bring up the simple playlist, there is nothing in it. i have to open the main station list, then click on a saved play list from there, then click open, which puts it in the simple playlist. if i want to listen to a different station i have to repeat that step. for me the simple playlist doesn't save anything, correct? for example, when i close out the simple playlist, then bring it back up, it is empty. i have to repeat that same process over again. i already have saved my own stations, which are in the main stations folder[list]. do you follow me?..... :) .....thanks

I've just gone through this and can save the playlist to the desktop (shouldnt matter where), open lib, pl, select a radio station, ottos baroque for example, 6 entries added to the pl, save pl to desktop as a test, close xion, reopen xion and open pl, radio stations are still in the pl

so no probs there

do the same again with a new playlist and not saving the pl to anywhere, results in same as above, opens up the same stations as when it was closed

so is the issue that you cannot add multiple radio stations to a playlist unless you add them into the m3u file manually?

oh btw Cliff - great addition of Otto's Baroque station :) love a bit of classical :)
