Xion Audio Player

attach detach

Feature Requests and Ideas

Postby xonenine » February 12th, 2009, 12:59 pm

I dont know how to describe this feature exactly, I saw it on a winamp skin, but several years ago. Components of the skin could be dragged away from the main player but would reattach when brought back in proximity. It seemed like a really nice effect, and made the skin stand out. I'd also like it if the playlist vis window etc could all attach and move around then detach like components.:)

1) the "attach/detach" is called docking, or snapping.
2) dragging components around is a Cpro function

just to clear things up.

docking or snapping has been idealized for xion, and components that act like those from winamp will require a mess of coding and I doubt that will be done anytime soon. But those are awesome ideas.

This was already discussed in the beta topic where the playlist was first implemented.

There's also another topic for this same feature.

Currently the separate items snap to eachother, but cannot be moved together. Cliff has plans to add this feature soon.
I shoot and ask questions later.

Take no offense of it.

Yea and there is also a bug when the items are snapped together as well. which I should probably tell cliff about if he doesn't already know.
