Why don't you just add an option in the right click menu "Show/hide everything" ? :)

- Mute should be in the Menu, I agree.

- I think there should be a minimize_all keyword and option in the menu.

- I like the current way Xion handles the tray icon, double-click to show single-click to play/pause.

- I also think that close shouldn't close the Main window if it is placed on the playlist, It should close the playlist...using minimize sometimes confuses me and I have to correct it sometimes if I don't remember to do that.

Cool so if I understand correctly, you'll make a new global hotkey for the minimize function of the taskbar option, not the tray icon yeah? So that way it won't affect the people that use the current one and are used to only the player hiding. That's cool man, but I just have one question about that. Will the hotkey work even if you don't have the taskbar tab enabled? I don't use it myself so it would be gay if I had to have it showing just to use the hotkey :)

Peace, Lance
I made the Xion Default skin. Ask me questions and stuff.

Holding down CTRL while double-clicking the tray icon causes Xion to play the next track. I thought at first that this was meant to occur but i have all the keyboard shortcuts disabled in Xion. Also the next double-click on the tray icon with or without CTRL advances to the next track again but only the once unless CTRL is used again. Shift and Alt on their own or together have no effect unless CTRL is used in combination. Strangely CTRL, Shift and Alt together will only allow one advance after the initial one.

The visibilty of Xion is not changed while these combos are used.

Yes, I'll be making a new hotkey that will minimize all windows. You just need to use this new hotkey instead of the current 'Toggle Main Interface' hotkey that you're currently using. (It will still remain if people want to use that instead)

Yes it will work even if you don't have the taskbar tab enabled.

Yes, holding control and double clicking is supposed to go to the next song. It doesn't appear to be working 100% due to the recent changes with double click though. I also think I'll move it to single click.

*EDIT* Ok I've changed it as follows:

SingleClick = Play/Pause
SingleClick+Ctrl = Next Song
SingleClick+Shift = Previous Song
SingleClick+Ctrl+Shift = Next Random Song

Added for 116

No need to, this is double click on the menu and if you click hide/minimize in the Main Window.

I've added some more single-click options if you hold down modifiers too.

Ok, done for 116 :)

dragoon Wrote:Pressing F5 does fix the skin, until I load a new one.

As of now, it shows messed up every time I change my skin.

What I do know:
Changing to different skins within a skin (ie, the default) like mini versions/compact versions does not break the playlist.

Ah! I found it.
You have to dock the playlist with the main window. While it's docked, try to change the skin.

Breaks everytime for me!

Sorry for the lack of info first time,
cheers!

edit:
It doesn't seem to work with smaller skins, like "Aero Player". I used Ebonite and Wraith Xion Skin as test skins, and the default one.

Hmm ok, I can't seem to reproduce this. I've slightly modified the load process so see if its fixed for build 116. Please let me know if its fixed/still broken once I've released 116. Also if anyone else can reproduce this or has experienced this, please let me know!

One last thing, which Operating system are you using dragoon?

I have never experienced skin breaking and cannot reproduce this in XP Pro SP3+
tried with the instructions given, couldn't do it.

- Oh Cliff for the snapping can the corners of the skins snap as well....for instance
When I snap a main to playlist and the corners touch they snap as well as snap to the bottom/top/right/left, I have a skin that matches width perfectly at minimum with the playlist/main windows and I have to align by hand the corners, and I think having them snap that way might stop the skin from looking like it's floating around when moving snapped elements...just a thought.

- I think the Main window shouldn't lose focus when bringing up the playlist when they are snapped together...I use inactive to hide certain elements (see skin 'YABXS' and 'XSe7en') and I consider the skin to be 'one' when the windows are snapped and when I bring up my playlist the main fades to the inactive state which hides some info (intended when focus is not on the skin) but I want focus on main when using the windows snapped...

Since the windows stay "snapped" when hiding the playlist and bringing it back I still consider them 'one', and would like to keep focus on the skin as a whole (both windows being focus) or 'Xion' having full focus (all of the windows)

- Also under "Control" in the playlist menu OR stand-alone in the playlist menu include "Close" and "Minimize" please just-in-case a playlist doesn't include those buttons...

Edit: Bug: Current build, the edge snapping to windows elements overlaps by one pixel only on bottom and right sides...for instance when I snap Xion to the edge of the screen (right and bottom) it goes off screen by one pixel and overlaps the taskbar by one pixel. I am not specifying a snaprectangle because the skin has 90 degree corners. XP Pro SP3 if it all helps.

Sometimes it fixes itself when it comes out of inactive...but then when I click it, it will sometimes snap back to the off-by-one-pixel position.

Oh no!, Cliff please in next build include some option to change between new and old EQ, because the new is breaking the sound (at least for headphones, as i use both hi-fi amplifier and headphones when parents around home), because of that i switched from 115 back to 114 :( i dont want to change from the best music player for me to other crap just because of that :(

I'm currently in the process of uploading a video of Xion's playlist skin messing up. It shows how it happens and when, and I change songs to make sure that has nothing to do with it. Few minutes left on the upload, will update when it's done.

EDIT:
It's done!

How do you mean its breaking the sound? In what way?

I tried this here and it seemed to be changing ok? Could you give me a step by step to reproduce?

Cliff :)

This behaviour is the same for me w/ every skin, I guess it could be a Vista issue. When manually choosing tracks, the art refreshes. If a playlist is just selected and left to run, it doesn't change.

I am using embedded art, instead of folders, maybe that is complicating the issue?

I found this as well. I'm using the mod of the Pure Adium skin that Jikaru modded. If a playlist with multiple artists with embedded art is playing, the art will not update. Pause, or manually select the next track, and the art will refresh. Playlists with album art in the directory (i.e.:folder.jpg) seems to update correctly.

Thanks dragoon!

I wasn't able to reproduce it for quite some time...Then I decided to change the size of my playlist! If you resize it all the way down, to as small as it can go, then load the playlist again, BAM! Reproduced!

Thanks for that I'll get it fixed for 116!
