I just wanted to say that Xion is an amazing player. I love skinnable apps, and the method used for this gem is just the best I've seen. Keep up the great work, Cliff!

Hi Harkonenn,

Thanks for the great comments and welcome to the community!

Are you a skin author or a happy user?

If you are a skin author, I hope to see some skins from you soon!

Warm regards,
Cliff :)

Well, I've been a skin author in the past - Mac and PC; but lately I've been so busy in a new job that I'm just a happy user  . However, as I said, the method that you're employing for Xion is really innovative, practical and approachable. As a result, you've inspired me, and I hope to port one of my AveTunes skins.

All the best!

Just want to say congrats on a great app.

Impressed with your approach to skinning, I understand how hard it is to implement.

One thing I wanted to know, what is decoding the audio? The quality is far better than iTunes for example, more in line Media Player 11.

Main reason for asking is I'd like to dump Windows Media player and I have some protected content

Hi septimus,

Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately I don't support playing protected content yet, however I may look into it in the future, I will have to see what the licensing requirements are to do so.

Warm regards,
Cliff :)

Hello all.

Great player. I do some skinning myself and I really like the method of which behind this player.

I'll have to give this player a shot at a skin or two.
If it aint broke, fix it anyway. You may do it better.

Forgot to mention, I really like the output options the player gives. The way it comes with support for various types of audio interfaces is really great. Everything from direct sound to ASIO out of the box, very nice.

Great player you have here.

Looking forward to see it mature.

The player is very user friendly and sounds great.

The skins available now are more then adequate and like any skinnable app will become
more numerous as time goes by.

Keep up the great work.
