Saving playlist problems!

I opened a WPL playlist inside of Xion that had most of my songs in it, but I wanted to add some more. So I added a few songs to it and saved it over itself from inside the Simple Playlist window, using the "Save Playlist" option, not 'Save As'. Apparently, when saving the file, it decided it was going to save in M3U format, without changing the extension as well. I realized this after opening it in wordpad. So I changed the extension to .m3u and everything works great now. At the very least, since it seems like Xion only saves to m3u, it should change the extension. Or not read the file depending on it's file extension, but it's header (Or whatever the playlist uses to designate it's contents).

Just thought I'd give you a heads-up!

tl;dr Saving of a wpl playlist doesn't save as a wpl playlist, but as a m3u playlist. It still retains the wpl file extension, but it's contents are m3u-format, causing it not to read properly in Xion.

p.s. tl;dr means Too Long; Didn't read

Hi dragoon,

Thanks for reporting this! I'll have to make sure that I prompt that the file can't be saved in WPL format and will need to be saved in M3U and then prompt for a new filename.

Thanks!

Cliff :)
