Beta Builds of Xion. These are builds that are not quite ready for Release, but need feedback and bug submissions in order to move it to Release Status
Cliff Cawley Wrote:I just checked out Winamp and the same thing happens! Go ahead and try it. Use the Launch Winamp after installer closes, click through the registration and then try and drag and drop an .mp3 onto the window. You won't be able to! Seems they've got the same problem. (NOTE: This is Vista/Windows7 issue)
I'll keep chipping away and see what else I can do.
About 8 hours of coding and research later, I've finally cracked it!
I now execute Xion at the end of the install as a standard user instead of an administrator!
Can confirm the animation sets do now stop as they're supposed to in 113 yay
Not really been checking skins the last few builds, but was deffo not working in 112, glad 113 is on the right tracks
oo nice, crashed 113 yay
opened choose skin dialog, double clicked on default skin and bang, crash report sent

Ok for build 114 I've tweaked the algorithm so that it uses logarithmic, accumulate and average bins instead of just FFT peaks.
I tested it out on a Bass/Mid/Treble test song and its now responding much better. I then tried out some normal songs and all over there is a much better response.
So be sure to check out build 114 as the Bass/Mid/Treble objects should now be much more lively, including the treble ranges.

I did notice that if you resize the playlist small, there are artifacts that stay on the screen still. I don't really bother pulling the playlist around the screen resizing, either.
They are always generated bottom right of playlist, they are always 6 or 8 white dots, they seem to be text. xonenine.
