Usually I tend to post these nearly finished... this one still needs much work. I wanted a more dynamic player, so I wanted it to drastically change depending on the music source. When playing local mp3s, you'll see the translucent squares (animated when changing tracks). It's similar to the newest itunes. Since Xion currently doesn't support album art, I'm a little at a loss for what to put on the center square! Any suggestions? I started work on the indi web and cd's as well. The vol and balance are probably going to change a lot.

the net icon(world) would look better in the same style as the cd/source images
center could be a bigger play/pause button?

perhaps have that runway type vu on the internet source wrapping around the world?
possible animated star sparks for internet?
have the songticker in the op empty space rather than in the box, will give for a longer songticker

I'd ditch the stroke around the main bit and the bubble effect on the volume/balance bar[s], though.
