Its a little bit of a hassel to get to a CD with Xion. Could there possibly be a button (loadcd) that when clicked, would clear the playlist and load the CD? If you're REALLY feeling crazy, a disabled state for this button would be nice when there is no CD in the drive. But I'd settle for just the button...

The Library has such a feature. You just double click on the CD Drive you want to load within the Library and it will load it up in the Playlist. I could possibly look at adding a button, but have you seen this option? Cliff ![]()
y think Kev has already Cliff, we logged a bug with it in the beta 76 thread
Cliff- Yep I saw that in the library, I never use the library though, so I thought it might be nice to have the option of a button on the skin. It's not any big deal though.
I haven't thought this all the way through, but it would be nice if something like the following would be implimented: When a CD is loaded, the current playlist is autosaved, and wiped out, and the CD tracks come up. Some sort of toggle button between cd and local files is pushed, and the CD tracks go away, and the playlist comes back. Just a thought, I think it would make things easier.
It all becomes horribly complicated when you have more than one cd drive and maybe virtual drives too. You would either have to choose which was the default drive or have some way of scanning the drives for cda files. I think it would be easier to have an open cd option that maybe presented the user with a list of available cd drives. Maybe a select source option.
I've got another idea...I was going to add Tabs to the playlist. So if you insert a CD a new Tab filled with the tracks appears. Eject it, the Tab closes. If you have multiple CD Drives you get just have multiple Tabs.
This will be added when I've added Tabs to the playlist. Tabs will also allow you to have many Playlists active at once, so you can quickly toggle between them. Cliff ![]()
