I'm working on a skin that involves a speedometer needle animation set to animtype(6), with a rectangle showing the track title. Unfortunately, any part of the needle to go further right than the right edge of the track layer disappears. Here's what I've got:

hi OfficerMike... nice concept for your skin :)

about the needle not showing up.. if youre sure theres no image on top of that area where the needle should be in full, u may need to give a link to the psd so we can check whats wrong

thanks

yup, there's no image covering up the needle on the right, it really is the track layer's fault. I figure I'm probably gonna have to cut out a rectangle through the dial's face in the size that I want my track display to be, then throw my track layer beneath there with its actual right edge extended further right than the needle goes. As for the file: http://www.deviantart.com/download/67482474/Carbon_by_OfficerMike.psd
have fun and good luck finding another way to fix it!

It looks as though this is an issue with the dirty rectangle system within the Xion render core. I'll take a look at this and let you know.

Heh, nice find. Seems to be a bug with the dirty rectangle system. The only work around was to remove the volumelr layer, but that removes some of the functionality you wanted. Or to modify that volumelr layer. Remove the bottom two tales you have (i.e make it so that the rectangle for the volumelr layer doesn't overlap the song title and it will work perfectly. By rectangle, I mean if you were to draw an invisible rectangle that surrounds all of the pixels.

I tried fixing it... for now, it can be remedied thru the track rectangle.. try smudging ur track layer (the one in black) to the right end of the circle.. we dont want that extended area to have text but should be at least 1% visible for the needle to show

got this idea from SLoB... I dont know whats the relation with the track layer, but it works here too :)

thanks to everyone! I ended up cutting a rectangular hole through the carbon fiber layer and moving my track display stuff below it so that when I extended the two track title layers further right, the extensions would be hidden.

This bug should be completely fixed in at least build 88.
