Hi all,

I've been away from this community for a while, so forgive me if this has already been discussed/implemented (though I couldn't see it in the docs).

I'd really like a way to set a layer's opacity based on the bass/mid/treble (or more granular if possible I guess) currently playing, rather than just a slider. I know I can do a slider, but opacity would allow for some neat effects too.

I'll add something similar that I did for the trans_* keywords, good idea.

Yes, while you are correct SLoB, that you can emulate with the animation system, pickle is asking for something similar to the existing trans_volumel, etc

I kno he was ;), just pointing out a worthwhile alternative ;), one that could also be not just for the same bar or something but an animation you could even morph which is where the layers would come in handy

It's an interesting way to make things look cooler, but i'm not sure if it's as functional as it sounds. I guess i'll make my decision when i see it in action.

Ya, I "re-discovered" the animation possibilities after I posted. That's an "ok" alternative, but unless I have 100 layers, I'll never get the smoothness of an opacity layer.

I'm not sure how utilitarian it would be, but it could result in some cool visualizers.

Adding support will be easy, I'll add it before next release. I just forgot about adding them when I implemented them as Slider bars AND animations ;)

I've now added this and it will be available in build 96.

I've also updated the layer reference
