Alot of projects have it, and i like to think of IRC as a good platform for quick conversations and the like.

Sometimes a forum just doesn't cut it when there's something quick to be said. So how about an IRC channel?

think there is already one setup, do a search on the forum, it was created a while ago if I remember

You guys might get something out of it, I stopped using irc years ago, it was popular with quakers but kinda useless as most of the chat was mindless drivel.

Not only that but if the conversation is of benefit to forum users and they're not on or use irc then that topic or conversation is lost in transit

Can see your point though, what kind of chats were you interested in, something that would get the community together or just the occasional shoutbox type thing?

More along the lines of directer chat between skinners, etc.

And some live chat with Cliff, possibly. Could speed up few things quite a bit methinks.
