Your font not working?
open the font you are trying to use and look for:
Typeface name: fontnamehere
this is what u want your layer to be called, e.g.
fn(fontnamehere)
not what the file is actualy called.

Also note that if you use a custom font, you must make sure it's available to people who haven't installed any fonts and rely on default, preinstalled fonts. If the skin does not find the font you have specified in the user's font folder, it will use the default font, which may decrease design value of your skin.
When in doubt, add the font file to your skin archive. I shoot and ask questions later.
