If you had looked around more, you'd have realised that the visualiser system is built around plugins. And along with that, Cliff has mentioned that he might also make Winamp plugins compatible with Xion, meaning it's visualization plugins will be usable.

Although I have been very slow to use Cliffs example vis, I still plan on using it to build a visual.It seems straightforward and well-remarked. I have downloaded a few code snippets and a particle emitter, as that's the type I'd like to build.Now I just have to stop thinking my leg will get bitten off by some monster if I delve into C++.
