a feature i got used to (in another player) was the ability to re-center certain sliders like the eq and balance by double-clicking on the slider; i think this would make a nice convenience add to the xion player.

That's actually already on the list and will be done before the public build. There will be a double-click reset function per slider.

any chance the also good feature requests from years past will make it in too rofl

This has been implemented as both double click as well as right click.
