Streaming forum mp3 hangs system :(
Posted: October 18th, 2006, 5:51 amabout the only media player that allows mp3s from forums i've found is wmp, normal mp3 urls are fine in Xion and other media players but when trying to stream from a forum it completely hangs the whole system
I'm a member of Guitars101 but you should have access to this file under the forum guest account so its still a valid url test, as i said wmp plays this fine without issue, Xion completely hangs for ages but says buffering, it took approx 2-3 minutes for the system to unlock itself, even to the point of no task manager available either
wmp takes approx 2-5 seconds to start playing the file without issue
