This is a Beta Build. That means it has fixes and features that are NEW. It is also possible it has bugs that are NEW! If you are looking for stability, please don't expect this build to be perfectly stable. It may have issues. If on the other hand you are happy to try this build out and post any bugs back in this thread, then please do!

Download Installer Version:
r2 Studios Server ->
Xion Server ->

If you receive errors when running, install the VS2005 Runtimes
Download from Microsoft ->

  • Added the ability for Xion to check for new builds on the internet, both normal and Beta. You can change the options in the settings tab
  • Added Content Type registry entries for the skin files so that they properly download under Vista Internet Explorer
  • Fixed the Update now button so that it can still check even when the updates are disabled
  • Fixed short songs recieving 2 near end events due to a Play then a Pause call allowing the callback to trigger - thanks logokas!
  • Modified where the resume last file time is called to work better
  • Added support for Text Cast Transform tct(upper, lower, normal)
  • Added support for Crossfading. Crossfading options can be found in Configure Xion -> Settings
  • Added Mime type to uninstall

If you find bugs specifically related to this build, please post them here instead of the Bug reporting forum. Any feedback positive or negative should also go in here, no new threads. This way all feedback, etc related to this build will be in the one place.

I still haven't received any feedback on the skinnable playlist! Has anyone out there tried to create their own? Has anyone made a playlist skin and found a bug?

The main changes for this build are the Update Check and Crossfading features along with the fix for Vista so that Xion skins now correctly download on Vista as .xsf instead of .zip. Let me hear your feedback! :)

Any questions or bugs related to this build should be posted here only!

shadowman Wrote:Hi Cliff,

how about the Global Multimedia Hotkey's?

I've re-arranged a few things related to this. Give it another try in build 108 (when its released)

If it still doesn't work, let me know and let me know if there is a freeware game that blocks this so I can test here.

Cliff :)
