um.. i was wondering if the quick search could sort out by ALBUM and not the song title name... because i just want to listen to one album not the entire songs by author :/

However, if you bothered to try, the search box actually takes into consideration everything, even the name of the folder you're looking for, if you want it to. A bit of testing would've revealed this to you without making a somewhat rude account like that.

As logokas said, it already does this. Perhaps you're using build 100 instead of the latest build 125?

If you're using build 125, just type the Album name in and it'll filter to that.

If you're using build 100, then upgrade to the latest and you'll instantly have that feature!

I've tried, been using Xion forever, but this never works (here's some screen shots) unless there is a new searching tool besides quick search.

Now screenshot 1 shows i have the latest build 125

Screen shot 2 shows me searching the ARTIST'S NAME (which works, but shows all his songs)

Screen Shot 3 shows me highlighting all of RONALD JENKEES songs (there are 2 albums in there)

Finally Screen Shot 4 shows me searching just the album name DISORGANIZED FUN and for XION it only shows me the ONE SONG titled DISORGANIZED FUN (however iTunes shows me all of it) Now this happens on each album i try to search. For example i try to search album DAY & AGE or VIVA LA VIDA and all i get is 1 or 2 songs (not the entire album) And yes all my song information is filled out so i don't see why it XION refuses to show songs by ALBUM

EDIT: Also i find it tedious to make a playlist for each album and such :/
And i didn't mean to offend anyone by making an account called PEDOBEAR lol.. it's virtually my gamer tag for everything (you'll see from screenshot )

I've tried to reproduce this on build 125 including attempting to re-create exactly the tags you have there on some other random song and it works each time

The title of that one song is Disorganized Fun so I thought that Xion was just picking that up and then not looking at other fields, but its not doing that here. Here is picking up all the tracks.

I know you said you had the latest version, but something seems to be going amiss here.

So, can I get you to verify some things. Right Click on the Xion Interface and choose About Xion. This will show the About window, including the version number. (Perhaps there is a bug detecting the latest version, I just want to make sure you're on 125).

If the version is 125, then it might be something to do with those files. Could you send me tracks 1 and 2 so that I can try them here to see what they do? Just Zip them and use the Contact page on this website.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.

Are you saying you're forced to do this, because of no Library functionality, or that Xion just makes it difficult to so? Please expand on what you mean.

Yes i am on build 125 as for the other items you have requested give me a few moments (sent via contacts)

as for the tedious part, i just mean i find it annoying to make a playlist for each album i have if i want to listen to just that album and not the other songs from that artist

and i hope you wanted tracks 1 and 2 from the album disorganized fun

Thanks for the files, I've tried that here and its working perfectly with build 125. I did everything you did in the screenshot, I even searched the the same partial match 'Disor' and I get both tracks showing.

If you're definitely on build 125 then I'm not sure what's going on here. Is anyone else out there having problems searching for the Album and Xion only searching the song names?

This could be an OS related issue, regarding file access issues, though it's kind of unlikely.

Finally managed to reproduce this one. The problem appears when loading from a playlist. Xion doesn't reload the Album (and other tag) information when loading from an existing playlist, only when you play the file for the first time, or when you drag and drop files.

Now that I know the issue, I'll have to come up with an elegant fix.

hey guys. completely new to xion (but in love already), so if this was already suggested/addressed, my apologies. but in regards to searching by album, xion makes it very hard to search for a self titled album (ex. searching for the album Blind Melon). Also, and i suppose this is more of a question, is it possible to have the album name or art come up in the playlist view? maybe with a new skin? i find it hard when listening to new music (to me) to know where to start or begin because the albums aren't clearly labled in the playlist view. if i'm splitting hairs or adressing an already solved issue, like i said, my apologies.

since xion is getting a bit of love again, any news on fixing this issue yet cliff?
