Hi everyone,
i'm a newbie on this forum but i use and skin xion for a while and i must say: xion is the awesomest piece of software ever.

But i got some ideas to make it even better.
Some days ago i started a new skin - i like to make it silnglewindowed - like windows meda player but, its impossible, you have to draw a main window and a playlist separately, main window isn't resizable and so on...
so i done the full interface in the playlist window and main wnd. was just a small xion logo
so my idia is: why not give the full window control to the skinner - like this

and the plugins just render inside the layers with specific keywords in all the windows.

It might be possible to make a SUI style if you do a lot of 'fudging'. Since the Playlist window can stretch and all fields can go in a playlist window you might be able to pull it off with a bit of creativity.

Show me a fully scaleable window-like media player that doesn't look ugly, and like an actual player.

No offense to anybody/thing, but you seem to be after something a-la WMP, which looks nice in and of itself, but most people probably aren't after that kind of a style.

logokas, I beg to differ. Look at the popularity of Winamp cPro and cPro skins.

I said "media player like" 'cause it is the best example for an SUI. The skin i work on has nothing similar with WMP.

I see very little cPro around anywhere. Maybe i'm just looking wrong.

Though cPro is not exactly fully scalable. The main interface size is still set in stone.

Already done but i dont like the "fudging"
