Sliderbit along path

Idea:
A sliderbit can be dragged along a path (a path in the .psd). This would allow curved and circular sliders.
Technical concepts:
Hopefully you'd be able to use someone else's curve algorithms. Gladly the psd provides the location and anchors.
Overall, the hardest part of this will be getting it to follow the mouse. You'll have to calculate the closest point on the path to the mouse. This should work decently unless someone creates a crazy, corkscrew or snake shaped path, in which case some negligible jumping might occur.
Rough idea:
sliderbit
volumepath(path0)
In this case, it would make sense that the volumepath layer would not be visually affected - only the sliderbit moves.
