well, kind of like this burl but more retro and w chrome.

Retro doesn't google quite the right flavor. Art Deco isn't bad. Round and chunky too, like a beehive...

I found retro-style stairs and tables to incorporate, Also am using a Cherry Burl wood-type and it's alright but hard to work with...I'll keep playing with it, but again i'm not really sure what your looking for unless you posted some pictures.

Just pick out the coolest looking 1950's radio or clock and use that as inspiration.That's the most easily identifiable.Here's one...

And here is one more that would help give an idea for an "executive" burl and chrome player. Although these don't have the chrome, it's pretty much an idea of what I'm shooting for...
