an idea i had a while back in my head, this one is getting there pretty rapidly, only started it last nite and a few hours tonite

the metal casing will also be able to be rotated 90 degrees giving 4 variations on the skin, also transparency cycle on the black lcd border revealing more lcd underneath
still work in progress

18 LCD Colours (in cycle)
10 LCD Border Opacity (in cycle)
20 Glass Ideas/Options (in cycle)
4 Variations on Main Body rotation 90 degrees
Cool LCD (still working on inner lcd idea)

Winamp Version :-
same as above
drawer for settings,eq etc
std frame
notifier

more tweaks/changes
a Name change at some point, gotta choose another one from my list

4 rotated modes in
RGB scheme in (for all 4 rotated modes, each keeps its own RGB setting)
various tweaks

still to finish off LCD with some perspective gubbins

once the Xion version is done I will carry on with the Winamp version

I honestly think it needs something badass to set it apart from all the other gray-metal, blue-lcd skins out there. It looks incredible, though.

I think one of the more visually interesting things are the vents along the sides. What about some sort of VU or regular animation that might include light or exhaust coming from them? I suppose that would be difficult with the rotating background though.

as far as a name- how about "Shift" since there are so many different styles to change around, and it also seems reminicent of a concept car.

yea Kev, the bottom curves were inspired by the ford focus zetec back wheel arch leading up to the top of the car as you look at the car from behind (blame it on traffic jams stuck behind cars lol), but flipped on its side, that was the inspiration for the overall layout shape plus some enhanced curves, as for the rest i went for a one up from the lcd in Torsion which i had ideas of even before i did Torsion

funny u should mention Shift tho, thers a cool Shift font that i used years ago which looks cool, you get a gold star, thanks

skry - its not just got a blue lcd, it has 18 colours available for lcd, plus the black border has 10 levels of transparency so it has plenty to offer colour wise, plus the rgb on each mode for the body of 5 levels transparency, giving it a fair amount of colour changes, more than enough i think in skins and user configurable which is always a plus rather than set themes

i'll post an update pic later on at some point, a few things have changed/been tweaked, overall its getting there, there will be a winamp version of this soon too

I think its best left as it is. The controls are a lot clearer that way. Its gonna be fun trying this out. So many buttons to click on

i think some buttons should be more intuitivly placed, such as the repeat & random being next to each other, things like that.

random, repeat top left holding hands

basically skin buttons on left column, Xion buttons right column, cant get much easier
they all have tooltips too, but doesnt take long to get used to it

as for never ending, its not far off

think this one is pretty much good to go on the skins page now

has loads of colour theming going on with:-
RGB body colour layers (5 layers apiece)
approx 18 colour lcds
10 layers of LCD border transparency
4 modes to shift/rotate round on the body(each mode supports RGB)

Oh... I thought the two buttons in the top corner were random and equalizer... isn't repeat under the close button on the right?

eq is symbolised by the 3 bars with the line thru them, basically main skin functions left, Xion functions right
the button under close shifts the body round 90 degrees to make 4 modes to the skin, the lcd remains static but the body shifts round, almost like a shade button sort of thing
